Amanda T. Adams
Attorney
I’m Amanda T. Adams. I’ve been a lawyer for 11 years, after a lawyer helped me with a challenging experience in my own life. I believe clients deserve promptly returned phone calls or emails. I enjoy helping people overcome challenges. I’ve represented more than six hundred clients, approximately 500 of whom were family law clients, and approximately 50 of which were bankruptcy clients. I’ve handled family law cases ranging from custody disputes between maternal Aunts in two states in probate courts, custody disputes between states, international Hague convention disputes, uncontested Dissolution of Marriage Cases, aggressively prosecuted in favor of and defended against protective orders, qualified domestic relations orders, defending against abuse allegations, marital and non marital property division, discovering hidden assets, contested and uncontested adoption cases, paternity disputes, and prenuptial agreements. I’m not afraid to take a case to trial, but I am also a strong proponent of practical, cost effective solutions and coming up with solutions everyone can live with.
In Bankruptcy Court, the Hope Law Firm P.L.C. is a debt relief agency. We help people file for relief under the bankruptcy code. Whether you’ve fallen on hard times and missed a few mortgage payments and want to see if there’s a way you can save your home in a Chapter 13 case by catching up on the mortgage, or you’re being sued by several creditors and having your wages garnished and you’d like to put an end to the stress, me and my colleagues can work with you to find a possible solution.
I’m a second career attorney. I live in Indianola with my husband and twin boy/girls, and also have an adult former foster son who is 22 we also consider to be part of our family. Before becoming an attorney, I was a broadcast journalist and worked as a news reporter/announcer on WHO Radio under my maiden name from 2000-2003.
